“Too many words. Let them just see what we do.”
-Mother Teresa

I recently watched this documentary about Mother Teresa. The film followed Mother Teresa for over five years and presented her outlook of faith, her vow of poverty, her commitment to love and those touched by her giving.

Throughout the film, Mother Teresa encounters individuals who are inspired by her compassion and they want to give money or goods and they ask,

How can I help?

Her response compels me.

Come and See,” she would say.

She would tell people to come be with the materially or spiritually poor and needy and to see what they could do. Her words are a part of the current of this blog and my passion to go and see.

You can watch the 2 minute trailer here, but you can also check this out at your local library (click link).

Does her call to come and see mean that you are being called to Peru or another nation? Maybe, but maybe not.

Seeing doesn’t necessarily mean going anywhere besides your own city, your own work place, your own front door.

Where do you need eyes to see today?

“There is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives – the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize it. The poor you may have right in your own family.

Find them.  Love them.”

-Mother Teresa

Beautiful, Riss! I was so inspired by this. I have never seen her on film before because I have only read her work. She is so beautiful. Glad you shared 🙂
